Holi, Divali and related Indian festivals

Divali is one of the most popular festivals in India. Holi celebrates the spirit of life and joy, a kind of Spring Festival celebrated with an abundance of color, music and of course, rice and sweetmeats. The significance of Holi in Indian culture is as old as the history itself. As the name itself suggests, this festival is celebrated for the symbol of love and is celebrated with all its beauty. Holi festivals are celebrated in different states like Gujarat, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Kerala, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and many more. This article will highlight some of the events and activities associated with the Holi. Indian festivals are not limited to these two but there are many holi and related festivals as well. Holi is celebrated in India mainly in and around the cities of India, especially in Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, etc. Holi is also known as Diwali Festival or Harvest Festival.
